Axelay is one of the best STGs that the SNES has to offer

Axelay is one of the best STGs that the SNES has to offer. Despite some occasional slowdown, the bosses are massive and some nifty parallax scrolling adds to the visuals. The weapons system is easy to grasp, and the overall difficulty is challenging but fair. Recommended.
