Sniper Elite

Sniper Elite for the PlayStation 2 is a tactical third-person shooter set during the final days of World War II. Play as OSS operative Karl Fairburne as he infiltrates war-torn Berlin, using stealth and long-range marksmanship to keep sensitive nuclear secrets from falling into enemy hands.

• Realistic Sniping: Account for distance, wind, gravity, breathing, and body position when lining up precision shots.
• 28 Campaign Levels: Work through a lengthy series of missions set throughout the ruined streets and buildings of wartime Berlin.
• Stealth Tactics: Sneak around enemy positions, use distractions, set traps, and select concealed firing positions to complete objectives.
• Two-Player Co-op: Team up with a second player in local split-screen and work through the campaign together.

Sniper Elite emphasizes patience and tactical planning rather than constant run-and-gun action, rewarding players who carefully observe their surroundings and choose the right moment to strike. Its combination of stealth, realistic long-range shooting, large missions, and cooperative play makes it a strong choice for PS2 players who enjoy tactical military shooters.
